City of Los Angeles Office of Finance Paperless Statements Sustainability Program

The City of Los Angeles Office of Finance announced the availability of paperless statements which allows businesses and permit holders to receive their renewals, billings, and other correspondence from the Office of Finance electronically in-lieu of mailed paper statements.

Electing to receive electronic statements in-lieu of paper copies saves costs, is environmentally friendly, and assists in making Los Angeles a sustainable city.

It is quick and simple to enroll online in the paperless statement program is quick and simple online.

The paperless statement program simplifies compliance with less paper to track and provides a convenient portal for taxpayers to view and print their statements at any time. The paperless statement portal also provides for increased security as it reduces the chance of lost or stolen statements.

This service is in addition to the existing web-based programs provided and administrated by the Office of Finance, which includes electronic filing of all tax and permit renewals, and online bill payment options 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The programs have been successful and usage continues to grow. Last year, nearly half of Los Angeles’ businesses filed their business tax renewals online.

In employing “best practices” of public and private agencies, the Office of Finance encourages businesses and permit holders to utilize all applicable web-based options to facilitate the effective use of their valuable time and resources. Furthermore, the Office of Finance remains committed to the identification and establishment of other web-based efficiencies to assist taxpayers and make it easier to conduct business in Los Angeles.
