MyFTB for Tax Professionals
Tax Professionals
You can use MyFTB to do the following:
- Manage your professional contact information.
- Maintain a list of Tax Information Authorization (TIA) and Power of Attorney (POA) clients.
- Maintain a list of tax professional associates.
- Access online services.
You can access client tax account information based on your relationship and online permission level. For details, refer to MyFTB Tax Professional Online Account Access.
To add clients with a TIA relationship (no POA declaration on file), you must enter their information from a filed tax return for one of the last five tax years. Before you add them, you must obtain your clients’ permission. You can use FTB 743, Online Account View Access Authorization, or FTB 3534, Tax Information Authorization, to gain permission. Do not mail these forms to us; keep them in your records.
