Tax Preparer: How to Remove a Representative on an Active Power of Attorney (POA) Declaration
To remove a representative on an active POA Declaration online, log in to MyFTB and follow the “How To” instructions below. If, once you’re logged into MyFTB, you need help with the page you’re on, select the “?” in the upper right corner of that particular page.
- Expand the Client Search Criteria section to search for the client whose Power of Attorney Declaration you want to edit.
Press enter to show or hide content for Step 3: Select the View POA link in the Actions column next to the Declaration you to want to edit.
- Select the Check Box in the Primary column next to the representative that you want to remove.
Note: A representative can only edit their own information unless they have the Add Representative privilege on the POA Declaration. To remove the Primary representative from the declaration you must first designate a new Primary representative.
- Select the Remove link in the Action column.
