On December 7, 2005, the Franchise Tax Board will conduct its annual hearing that is required by the Taxpayers’ Bill of Rights (Revenue and Taxation Code Section 21001-21027).

The purpose of the hearing is to give taxpayers and tax practitioners the opportunity to present proposals that would change existing state income tax law, and/or improve Franchise Tax Board publications or services to the public.

The hearing will be held during the Franchise Tax Board meeting that begins at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, at the State Board of Equalization, 450 N Street, Room 121*, Sacramento, CA 95814.

Individuals wishing to present specific proposals are requested to submit a written statement before the hearing. The statement should include the proposed change and indicate any Revenue and Taxation Code Sections that would be affected. Statements can be submitted to:
