Taxpayer Bill of Rights Hearing

On December 2, 2003, the Franchise Tax Board will conduct its annual hearing that is required by the Taxpayers' Bill of Rights (Revenue and Taxation Code Section 21001-21027).

The purpose of the hearing is to give taxpayers and tax practitioners the opportunity to present proposals that would change existing state income tax law, and/or improve Franchise Tax Board publications or services to the public.

The hearing will be held during the Franchise Tax Board meeting that begins at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, at the State Board of Equalization, 450 N Street, Room 121*, Sacramento, CA 95814.

Individuals wishing to present specific proposals are requested to submit a written statement before the hearing. The statement should include the proposed change and indicate any Revenue and Taxation Code Sections that would be affected. Statements can be submitted to:
