2006 Updates to FTB 3576

Revision Details: Description of the proper use of tax deposit voucher warranted by volume of them being submitted as tax and estimate payments.
- FTB 3576, column 1, two new paragraphs under Important Information:
It should read:
Only use form FTB 3576 to make a tax deposit payment for previously filed returns if you anticipate owing additional California tax due to a federal audit, state audit, or other reasons.
Do not use this form if you are paying your 2008 estimated tax or filing for an extension. Instead use Form 540-ES, Estimated Tax for Individuals, or FTB 3519, Automatic Extension for Individuals.
- FTB 3576, column 2, C- When to File:
It should read:

DO NOT USE THIS FORM TO PAY ESTIMATE TAX OR EXTENSION AMOUNT
No impact to tax liability.
