Financial Institution Data Match (FIDM) Record Layouts

All Method 1 and 2 files submitted to us under the FIDM process will contain an "A," "B," and "T" Record. Select your filing method from the list below for a detailed description of these records and the information to include in your files.

These record layouts are patterned after the nationwide reporting format. You must use these layouts for all accounts that the FIDM program requires your institution to report.

Important: We only accept .txt and .zip files.

Filing naming convention

For financial institutions:

Use the abbreviation FIDM, followed by your financial institution's name (you can abbreviate it) and Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) as the file name. If you send more than one file for a particular quarter, add an alpha character after the FEIN (sequential order: a, b, c, etc.).
Example:

    • FIDM BOA 950123451 or;
    • FIDM BOA 950123451(a) for multiple files per quarter.

For transmitters:

If you are transmitting for one financial institution, use the abbreviation FIDM, followed by the financial institution's name (you can abbreviate it) and FEIN as the file name. If you send more than one file for a particular quarter, add an alpha character after the FEIN (sequential order: a, b, c, etc.).
Example:

    • FIDM BOA 950123451 or;
    • FIDM BOA 950123451(a) for multiple files per quarter.

If you are transmitting for more than one financial institution, use the abbreviation FIDM, your (Transmitter) business name (you can abbreviate it) and FEIN as the file name. If you send more than one file with multiple financial institutions on it, you may add an alpha character after the FEIN (sequential order: a, b, c, etc.).
Example:

    • FIDM FISERV 250123451 or;
    • FIDM FISERV 250123451(a) for multiple files per quarter.
