Fair Oaks Pharmacists Arrested for State Tax Evasion

Sacramento – A Fair Oaks couple was arrested on five felony charges of state income tax evasion, Franchise Tax Board (FTB) announced.
Ronald S. Juliana, 68, and Joyce Juliana, 61, both former contract pharmacists for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation were arrested without incident by FTB special agents. According to the investigation, the Julianas allegedly failed to file state income tax returns for tax years 2003 through 2007 and to report more than $2.1 million in income.
Each felony count carries a maximum term of three years in state prison.
Both were booked into the Sacramento County Jail. The date for their arraignment has been set for April 20, 2010.
The California Attorney General's Office is prosecuting the case.
