April 7, 2014

Purpose of Bulletin

To inform staff that on April 10, 2014, we updated our public website to include the current list of taxpayers owing the top 500 liened delinquencies of personal income tax (PIT) and business entity (BE) tax in excess of  $100,000.

Background

California Revenue & Taxation Code Section19195 requires us to publicly disclose the names, addresses, and liened amounts of taxpayers owing the top 500 delinquencies of PIT and BE tax in excess of $100,000. We are also required to include occupational or professional license information, including license number and status, and the names of principal officers and their titles. This list is updated and published bi-annually.

Taxpayers appearing on our list are subject to having their occupational, professional, and driver licenses suspended by the issuing agencies. In addition, California state agencies are precluded from entering into contracts for the acquisition of goods or services with taxpayers on the list.
