Automated Outbound Messaging Pilot
Purpose of bulletin
To inform staff beginning June 17, 2010, the Accounts Receivable Management Division, Personal Income Tax Manual Process Team will participate in an Automated Outbound Messaging pilot.
The proactive collection process consists of manual phone calls to taxpayers, field visits, and a number of contacts made by a private debt collection agency. Alternative methods are essential in order to contact more taxpayers without an increase in staffing.
The implementation of an automated outbound messaging tool, allows us to efficiently contact more taxpayers and increase self -service by directing taxpayers to our public website.
The accounts will initially be limited to the Personal Income Tax Manual Process area.
