Executive Officer’s Message
Thank you for your interest in the Franchise Tax Board’s 2008 Annual Report.
Due to the state’s current fiscal condition and a reduction in our department’s resources and staffing, we have had to make many difficult decisions regarding how best to apply our resources.
For the 2008 Annual Report, we determined that it was in the state’s best interest to forego publishing the full report, which includes general background content, including an overview of our programs, our mission and values, and other high-level information. Most of this information does not change significantly from year to year.
For this report, we focused our limited resources on providing you with the specific tax data that we know many of you rely on. You can find data tables and statistics you need on our tax statistics webpage.
