The return of ReadyReturn
Our three-member board unanimously approved reinstating the ReadyReturn program. Eligible taxpayers will be able to decide if they want to accept the tax return we compute, based on information provided by their employers, or compute their own returns. / more+
Installment agreement pilot made permanent
We are wrapping up a 16-month pilot project that studied expanding the criteria for qualifying for a personal income tax installment agreement. During the pilot period, the maximum case balance was increased from $10,000 to $25,000, and the payoff period was expanded from 36 to 60 months, for qualifying applicants. The expanded criteria become permanent in 2007. / more+
Nonfiler notices mailed in December
We began mailing 700,000 notices to nonfilers in December, and will continue to mail them through May 2006. You can check our list of mail dates and projected volumes, and find out how you can automatically receive a copy if your client receives a notice from us.
