Purpose of bulletin

To inform staff that on September 30, 2012, we will implement Enterprise Data to Revenue (EDR) Release 1.0.

Background

EDR Release 1.0 is a pilot that is limited to Form 540 paper filed returns for tax year 2011. We will scan the entire return including any attached W-2s, schedules, and checks received between September 30 and December 30, 2012.

The pilot will end December 30, 2012. After that date, we will only scan the first one to three pages of the Form 540 paper filed returns for tax year 2011.

Viewable Form 540 Paper Filed Returns For 2011

Staff will be able to view the entire Form 540 paper filed returns and checks that are scanned during the pilot period in IDAX. These returns will also be viewable in TI, similar to e-filed returns.

Returns processed through this pilot will show in TI as follows:

  • On the Returns Received Display as an "SCN 540"
  • Have a Document Locator Number (DLN) suffix ending with an "N"

If a return is not available in IDAX, follow your current procedures for requesting a copy. If you have trouble viewing a return in IDAX, contact Imaging and eGateway Services Section Production Support at extension 2255, option 5.
