Purpose of bulletin
To advise staff that we are expanding the Business e-file Program to include exempt organizations.
The California Business e-file Program offers year round e-filing for corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies that file FTB forms 100, 100S, 100W, 100X, 565, 568, and certain accompanying forms and schedules. Businesses may e-file current year and up to two prior year returns.
Beginning July 2, 2012, exempt organizations will be able to e-file the FTB Form 199, California Exempt Organization Annual Information Return, for tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2011.
Preparers should check with their software provider to see if they support business e-file for exempt organizations.
Exempt organizations can get more information about business
