250 Top delinquent taxpayers to receive public disclosure letters

PURPOSE OF BULLETIN

Advise FTB staff that we will mail 250 Notice of Public Disclosure of Tax Delinquency letters February 19, 2008. We will send the letters to the top delinquent Personal and Business Entity taxpayers with a tax delinquency over $100,000. We intend to publish this information on our public Website beginning April 7, 2008.

BACKGROUND

California Revenue and Taxation Code Section 19195 authorizes FTB to publicly disclose the names, addresses, and the secured amount owed of the 250 top delinquent PIT and BE taxpayers who owe over $100,000. The list is to be updated annually.
