- 2008 LEED Silver Certificate Award - In July, Executive Officer Selvi Stanislaus accepted the award for FTB’s green campus. The Department of General Services presented the award for FTB’s energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly design and construction - News release.
- 2008 Award for Excellence by a Government Official - In June, Ben Miller, Counsel of Multistate Tax Affairs, was honored by the Los Angeles County Bar Associations’s Taxation Section. Ben was recognized for his unquestioned expertise on multistate tax law, apportionment, regulations, nexus, and Uniform Division of Income for Tax Purposes Act.
- 2008 Leadership Award - On May 15, Executive Officer Selvi Stanislaus, received the Leland Stanford Vision and Leadership Award for FTB’s outstanding use of technology to aid California taxpayers.
- 2008 SMUD Community Energy Award - SMUD Director of Ward 3, Howard Posner presented FTB and the Department of General Services a dual energy award for commitment to energy efficiency and environmental sensitivity. The SMUD community energy award honors customers who share SMUD's values and turn these beliefs into action. See announcement.
- 2008 Leadership Award - Cathy Cleek, Chief Information Officer (CIO) & Technology Services Division Chief, receives the Government Technology Conference (GTC) Director's award for outstanding leadership and contributions to State government. See announcement.
- California State Information Officers Council (SiOC) – In May 2007, the SiOC honored 12 State agencies. FTB won four awards. See announcement.
- 2006 California State Employees Charitable Campaign (CSECC) – FTB was the top department in the State & Consumer Services Agency Division for donations. See announcement.
- Bike Friendly Employer Award - 50 Corridor-Transportation Management Association recognized FTB's support for bicycle commuting - See announcement (May 18, 2007).
- Employer of the Quarter Award - Heald College presented FTB with an Employer of the Quarter Award for the Sacramento Region and specifically recognized FTB employee Sally Bennett for her recruiting efforts. (April 9, 2007)

- IRS Commissioner's Award - IRS Commissioner presents FTB with prestigious Commissioner's Award for excellent work in federal/state initiatives, and specifically the contributions made by the joint IRS/FTB Tax Gap team in boosting enforcement of the tax laws. Tax News (December 12, 2006).
- IRS appoints FTB Director of e-filing Bureau to IRS Committee - Chris Beach, Director of the Filing Methods and Budget Bureau, has been appointed to the Internal Revenue Service Electronic Tax Administration Advisory Committee (ETAAC) as a state revenue agency representative. - 2006 Leon Rothenberg Award for Taxpayer Service and Education - The Federation of Tax Administrators announce that the California Franchise Tax Board has won the 2006 Leon Rothenberg Award for Taxpayer Service and Education for its ReadyReturn program. News release (March 15, 2006).
- 2007 Communications Award - Government Technology Conference CIO Academy presents Communication Award to Chief Information Officer Cathy Cleek in recognition of her leadership and commitment to improving communication across the enterprise, and for helping front-line service providers and business organizations understand how to use technology to improve their services.
